The law firm of Heban, Sommer & Murphree, LLC (“HSM”) is located in the renovated historic Rossford Savings Bank building in downtown Rossford, Ohio, built in 1917. HSM was established in January of 2010 by attorneys Kevin A. Heban, Gary O. Sommer and Kent Murphree. Kevin Heban spent several years practicing with a downtown Toledo, Ohio law firm of Kolb, Heban & Zigray which concentrated its efforts on probate litigation. For the past 8 years, Mr. Heban practiced with the law firm of Heban & Galernik in Rossford, Ohio. Gary Sommer joins HSM from the law firm of Watkins, Bates & Carey, LLP, also in downtown Toledo, Ohio, for 26 years. Kent Murphree also joins HSM after spending 10 of the past 15 years with the firm of Watkins, Bates Carey, with a five year stint as Manager and Director of Labor Relations for St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center in Toledo, Ohio. Together, the three partners of HSM bring over 66 years of legal experience to the Firm. 

      Heban, Sommer and Murphree, HSM is comprised of associate attorneys Melissa M. Purpura and John P. Lewandowski, as well as Gerald E. Galernik, who serves in an of counsel role. Ms. Purpura concentrates her practice toward serving as prosecuting attorney for a number of Northwest Ohio municipalities. Mr. Lewandowski provides litigation support. Mr. Galernik supports all facets of HSM in his of counsel capacity. 

      HSM is proud to be one of the few law firms in Northwest Ohio and the Toledo metro area that concentrates heavily on probate litigation, as well as offering representation in estate planning, real estate, foreclosure, litigation, employment, labor, and business/transactional law.
